I wish I had an amazing camera like my sister-in-law does. Not to mention she takes great pictures. I'm super late starting my christmas cards so I begged Nicole to work her magic and take just one good picture. In about 3 minutes she managed to capture a few good ones. Thanks Nicole!

mommy-cohen dates

Cohen and I love to go on special dates while Eric is at work. This week we visited the Lied Discovery Museum and the Springs Preserve. The museum had just been redone a few months ago and it is awesome! They added a plane and a grossology exhibit that my stomach is just too weak for. Here are some pictures from my new camera! some changes...

We have made so exciting changes in the Vanus household! Cohen started pre-school! He loves it and I love the time I get. He goes two days a week for the whole day and so far so good. Its great to have time to clean and do homework and I know he is learning and playing with all his new friends. We also started art last week. He made a great little scarecrow and this week he made a painting of a fall tree. Cohen loves to be creative! We start basketball next week (I'm more excited than he is haha) Last saturday we got a new car!! We bought a nissan versa and Eric just loves it. Eric's truck died about a month ago, it was so sad because we drove that truck to our first high school dance together (yes it was that old but treated us well!) This versa is Eric first brand new car ever so he was super excited! He gets to drive it because I will never give up my expedition. (EVER) And it gets 27 miles per gallon! Thats the best part!

Cowboy Cohen's second Birthday

I can't believe our baby is already two! Cohen turned two in September 9th and we had a cowboy chili cook-off to celebrate. He looked so cute in his chaps and cow vest! We had hay bails in the backyard and many types of chili with a toppings bar. It was a ton of fun dressing up and listening to country music. Cohen had a blast and was talking about it for days!!!

For our daily project a few days ago we baked chocolate chip scones. Cohen was such a big help measuring the ingredients and mixing the batter. He loves to help me in the kitchen and even pretends to do the dishes (I can't wait until he really can help with those!! haha) He watches the oven and waits to tell me when the timer goes off. What a big boy!
